Barbell Energy

Short: A complete weightlifting & cardiovascular workout strategically based around major muscle groups designed for strength & muscle building, toning, cardio & flexibility. 55 mins.

Long:  A complete weightlifting workout strategically based around major muscle groups designed for muscle building, toning, cardio & flexibility. Weightlifting & cardio training are the most popular training styles on the planet and this class delivers on both fronts to the backdrop of popular & energetic music. The class’ strategy is to promote interesting workouts for the instructor and participants but most importantly the RGF method of class design makes it possible the instructor to make unique playlists, modify choreography and ultimately create a unique class experience that is exclusive to that particular individual. The tools of this class are many and include – Weightlifting, toning, isolation, step & athletic movements, bodyweight calisthenics & extensive core development (abs, butt, hamstrings & inner thighs).

 

Shadowboxing

Short: A highly productive workout using punches, kicks, knees, elbows and martial arts movements to upbeat energetic music. Fat loss/toning, speed, power, endurance, coordination & dynamic flexibility - no equipment required, 50 mins. 

Long: This workout is all about energy. Our favorite program to teach and choreograph Shadowboxing stands alone as the only group workout that can be done with no extra equipment at all. Everywhere we teach this class it makes its way to the top of the timetable. Speed, power, agility, muscular endurance & hypertrophy, coordination & timing & dynamic flexibility are the main exercise technologies utilized with this workout. As lifelong Martial Artists we have found this style of training as good if not better than the traditional forms of mechanical development of striking – punches, elbows, knees, kicks & Katas. Interestingly professional boxers when training for a fight will spend up to 85% of their fight prep shadowboxing – which says a lot about its effectiveness especially when we consider the amount of training options available. We have successfully tested this class for the past 3 years in halls and gyms and have developed the program accordingly. Specialised technical training is required in order to execute this class so instructors will require ongoing training and support to make this program work for the timetable. Yes it is a very hard style of class to learn initially but it is such a unique workout that participants love with many external benefits for the professional group fitness instructor. Effort in = effort out applies here.

 

Kickboxing

Short: Structured kickbox striking class based around hitting the freestanding/hanging boxing bag. Learn powerful kickboxing combinations while having a great workout - great for de-stressing. 60 mins

Long: A high energy, fun, progressive kickboxing class utilising hanging or free standing kickboxing bags. Participants get to learn how to use punches, elbows, knees & kicks to get a great workout and expand their knowledge and range of exercise techniques. This class is great for muscle development & toning, strength & flexibility increases, coordination and increasing range of movement patterns.

 

System Athletica

Short: A full body, high energy, low impact, strength & toning class to uptempo music focused around athletic movements working the major fat burning muscle group – the legs. Elevation (step), calisthenics, weights and athletic movements are combined 55 mins.

System: A set of detailed methods, procedures and routines created to carry out a specific activity.

Athletica: of, relating to, or suitable for an athlete or for athletics; or relating to a person with a muscular and well-proportioned body

System Athletica is a full body high intensity low impact strength & toning class to high energy music focused around working the major fat burning muscle group – the legs. The training technologies utilized in this class include – bodyweight calisthenics, cardio-endurance, elevation (step), handweights and core stabilization/activation. SA is an excellent way to lose weight & burn calories, build muscle and increase your athletic potential – co-ordination, speed, flexibility, muscular control and timing are all common benefits of adding System Athletica to your exercise routine.

 

Rico Bounce

Short: A full body, fat burning, butt kicking workout to music based around the mini trampoline. The class also features bodyweight calisthenics, weights and core stabilization/activation technologies to balance out the workout. 55 mins

Long: A full body, fat burning, butt kicking workout to music using the most underrated piece of equipment - the mini trampoline (rebounder). If you have never looked into rebounding as a complete health solution, jump on the internet and be astounded. The technology is too detailed to regurgitate here but basically rebounding works the body on a cellular level due to gravitational pressures. Because you are working vertical motion (as opposed to horizontal motion in running) on the rebounder every cell in your body must contract against the force of gravity – this makes for some interesting “internal” benefits; joint strengthening, detoxification & immune system strengthening, lymphatic system activation + too many others to list. The class is not limited to a trampoline and we utilize – bodyweight calisthenics, weights and core stabilization/activation technologies to balance out the workout.
